The generally accepted definition is that alternative medicine is the many natural treatments used to treat disease. Acupuncture originated in China over 2.500 years ago. It was not but a form of Alternative Medicine in China accepted form of treatment for pain. Acupuncture Involves sticking pins into the skin at certain points in the body. This will re-balance the energy in the body and will reduce pain. This energy wants to attract and produce energy called Qi. The energy travels through the body in meridians. When the energy is not balanced, pain Will Occur in the body. Sir William Osler first introduced to America Acupuncture. Acupuncture did not become popular until reporter James Reston was sent to China to do a news story on President Richard Nixon’s historic trip. The Chinese successfully reduced his pain using acupuncture. Today, many doctors travel to China to learn acupuncture.

Acupuncture has been proven to help treat a variety of conditions. It can reduce pain, reduce the addiction to tobacco and alcohol, prevent nausea, treat lung problems and preventable stroke. It is therefore a popular form of stress relief. Some doctors still do not believe that Alternative Medicine, examined as acupuncture, can work to treat diseases. Most doctors practice a combination of Alternative Medicine and Western Medicine. For example, some doctors will perform surgery using Western techniques and then use acupuncture to reduce pain after surgery

Nearly all health-care systems in remote antiquity were some form of energy-based medicine. Considered alternative medicine, Ayurveda, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Acupuncture, Tibetan Medicine and others are all energy-based medicine, though complete entities and not just within alternative medicine modalities. There are perhaps hundreds or even thousands of dog modalities, therapies, treatments and support systems that fall in the energy-based medicine category and far more in alternative medicine.

Energy-Based Medicine Is a Category in Alternative Medicine. Today energy-based medicine is composed of holistic medical entities, modalities and therapies classified within a category with the same name, within alternative medicine. All of the modalities in energy-based medicine are considered to be of little or no use to allopathic medicine.

To date, most of the modalities in energy-based medicine include the spiritual aspect of human existence. To the unbelieving or insensitive person, alternative medicine, not to mention, energy-based medicine, is pure bunk.

Body energy (vital life energy proper) travels down through the body from the head to the feet and hands. In South Asian medicine, life force energy is called “chi” or “qi.” The Healing Qualities of Life Force Energy

In fact most energy-based medicine, in most, modalities found in alternative medicine, it is believed that when these passages become blocked restricted, or energies traveling the wrong way, the individual becomes Subjected to disease and illness. Energy-based medicine stimulates life force energies and balancing them. Alternative medicine embraces these modalities and derivatives. Is Energy-Based Medicine efficacious?
